Mani
In Norse mythology, Mani is the personification of the moon god, Mimir’s son, and Sól’s brother, and she governs the sun. Mani is portrayed as a young god in charge of the deliverance of the moon in the heavens. He is followed by two immense gray wolves, Sköll and Hati, who chase the moon.
These wolves still depict the nightly pursuit of the Moon and the pursuit of the Sun, and these creatures are tied to Ragnarök, a Norse mythology end of the known universe. Then, a few eras later, during Ragnarök, the wolves catch Mani and Sól, who are very important celestial bodies. However, Mani is not as popular as other gods, but his function proves the significance of the Moon in the pantheons of ancient Norse mythology.
What Mani looks like
In Norse mythology, Mani was described as a handsome young deity associated with the Moon. However, particular body illustrations of the man have yet to be preserved. As for his link to the Moon, he could have had symbols connected with it, such as a lunar disc.
Pictures depicting the functions of Germanic and Norse gods may involve certain features that reflect their attributes, according to which depicting Mani might portray him together with some Lunar characteristics or in scenes connected with his mythology. Therefore, as no archeological artifacts or depictions of Mani have been discovered, one can only assume his appearance based on his mythological associations and connection with the moon.
